"Commish called out by Wells": The San Diego Union-Tribune today contains an article reporting that "Wells learned Friday that he is being fined an additional $5,000 by Selig for comments he made in print following his original seven-game suspension and $3,000 fine for being ejected by plate umpire Ed Hickox from the July 7 game at Petco Park."
