Major League Baseball games played Tuesday, August 28, 2007: Due to a doubleheader in Pittsburgh, Tuesday featured an expanded slate of 16 games. And those 16 games produced three ejections.

In Cleveland, where the Indians hosted the Minnesota Twins, first base umpire Hunter Wendelstedt ejected Twins manager Ron Gardenhire in the top of the 5th inning after Wendelstedt called Torii Hunter out at first base on a tag play that followed Hunter's single to right field. In Miami, where the Florida Marlins hosted the Atlanta Braves, home plate umpire Doug Eddings ejected Braves right fielder Jeff Francoeur in the top of the 11th inning for arguing a third strike recorded on a check-swing. And in San Diego, where the Padres hosted the Arizona Diamondbacks, first base umpire Lance Barksdale ejected Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin in the bottom of the 6th inning for arguing Barksdale's call that the Padres batter reached first safely on a bunt that loaded the bases.
