In Seattle, where the Mariners hosted the Minnesota Twins, home plate umpire Gary Cederstrom ejected Twins manager Ron Gardenhire just after the third out in the top of the 6th inning for arguing balls and strikes. Yesterday's remaining three ejections occurred in Atlanta, where the Braves hosted the San Francisco Giants. Record-setting ejectee Bobby Cox, the manager of the Braves, began the festivities in the top of the 3rd inning when he was ejected by first base umpire Angel Hernandez for arguing a balk called on the Braves starting pitcher. The second ejection of the evening occurred in the top of the 4th inning when home plate umpire Mark Carlson ejected Giants first baseman Ryan Klesko for arguing a called third strike. Carlson recorded his second ejection of the evening in the top of the 5th inning when he ejected Giants manager Bruce Bochy for arguing balls and strikes from the dugout.
