Major League Baseball games played Tuesday, May 20, 2008: A day-night doubleheader in Atlanta caused sixteen games to be played Tuesday. And those sixteen games produced two ejections.

In the Bronx, where the New York Yankees hosted the Baltimore Orioles, home plate umpire Chuck Meriwether ejected Yankees pitcher LaTroy Hawkins in the top of the 6th inning for intentionally trying to hit an Orioles batter with a pitched ball. The Orioles were leading 10-0 at the time of the ejection and ended up winning by the score of 12-2. You can access the box score at this link, while wraps from MLB.com are here and here. MLB.com also reports that "Benches clear in Yanks-O's opener; Hawkins ejected after nearly hitting Scott in sixth inning." You can view video of the ejection by clicking here. And in Chicago, where the White Sox hosted the Cleveland Indians, home plate umpire Wally Bell ejected White Sox third baseman Joe Crede in the bottom of the 4th inning for arguing balls and strikes.
