Major League Baseball games played Monday, May 12, 2008: A partial slate of thirteen games played Monday produced two ejections.

In Milwaukee, where the Brewers hosted the St. Louis Cardinals, home plate umpire Paul Schrieber ejected Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina in the bottom of the 5th inning for arguing that a pitch that was just off the plate outside was in fact a strike. Molina's ejection brought Cardinals manager Tony La Russa onto the field, and eventually Schrieber also ejected him. The Cardinals were trailing 7-1 at the time of the ejections and ended up losing by the score of 8-3. You can access the box score at this link, while wraps from MLB.com are available here and here. MLB.com reports that "Molina, La Russa ejected in Milwaukee; Catcher, manager tossed for arguing with home-plate umpire." You can view video of the ejection by clicking here. You can view related photos here, here, and here. Additional coverage is available from The St. Louis Post-Dispatch; The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; and The Associated Press.

Credit umpire Paul Schrieber with two ejections -- his first ejections of the season -- and adjust your Umpire Fantasy League standings accordingly.
