Major League Baseball games played Wednesday, May 21, 2008: A complete slate of fifteen games played Wednesday produced three ejections.
In Minneapolis, where the Minnesota Twins hosted the Texas Rangers, home plate umpire Jeff Nelson ejected both Rangers designated hitter Milton Bradley and Rangers manager Ron Washington in the top of the 2nd inning. Bradley was ejected for shouting at Nelson from the dugout after Bradley was called out on strikes. Washington was ejected while discussing Bradley's ejection with Nelson. The game was scoreless at the time of the ejection, but the Rangers ended up winning by the score of 10-1. You can access the box score at this link, while wraps from MLB.com are here and here. Joe Girardi was ejected from the Yankees game in the bottom of the ninth, by Guccione. I don't know if this was going to be updated later on, but it's not listed in the post.
