Major League Baseball games played Saturday, May 10, 2008: A day-night doubleheader in Queens, New York resulted in sixteen games being played Saturday. And those sixteen games produced one ejection.

In Kansas City, where the Royals hosted the Baltimore Orioles, home plate umpire Tim Tschida ejected Orioles left fielder Jay Payton for arguing a called third strike on what Payton claimed was a check-swing. The Orioles were winning 3-1 at the time of the ejection and held on to win by the score of 6-5. You can access the box score at this link, while wraps from MLB.com are here and here. Additional coverage is available from The Baltimore Sun; The Washington Post; The Kansas City Star; and The Associated Press.

Credit umpire Tim Tschida with an ejection -- his first of the season -- and adjust your Umpire Fantasy League standings accordingly.
