Major League Baseball games played Friday, May 16, 2008: Due to rainouts in Boston and New York City, only thirteen of a complete slate of fifteen games were played Friday. And those thirteen games produced one ejection.
In Arlington, where the Texas Rangers hosted the Houston Astros, first base umpire Angel Hernandez ejected Astros manager Cecil Cooper in the bottom of the 7th inning for arguing a close play at home plate. The Rangers were leading 9-8 at the time of the ejection and went on to win by a score of 16-8. You can access the box score at this link, while wraps from MLB.com are here and here. Credit umpire Angel Hernandez with an ejection -- his first of the season -- and adjust your Umpire Fantasy League standings accordingly.
