Ejection in Toronto! The Toronto Blue Jays are hosting the Seattle Mariners this evening, and in the bottom of the 6th inning first base umpire Tim Timmons ejected Blue Jays manager John Gibbons. I'll update this post once I figure out the reason for the ejection. Update: As Gil notes in his comment to this post, and as this wrap from MLB.com confirms, "Jays manager John Gibbons was ejected for arguing a check-swing call in bottom of the sixth inning by first-base umpire Tim Timmons."

Credit first base umpire Tim Timmons with one ejection -- his fourth of the season -- and adjust your Umpire Fantasy League standings accordingly.

The reason is: Tim Timmons ruled "swing" on a check swing. Gibbons started walking out of the dugout at Timmons, while Timmons kept warning the skipper not to come any further. Gibbons continued toward Timmons and was promptly ejected. Replays showed the batter did swing.
