Major League Baseball games played Monday, September 3, 2007: A partial slate of 14 games played Monday produced a single ejection.

In St. Petersburg, Florida, where the Tampa Bay Devil Rays hosted the Baltimore Orioles, first base umpire Paul Nauert ejected Devil Rays left fielder Carl Crawford in the bottom of the 3rd inning after Crawford reached first base safely, beating out a ground ball to the Orioles shortstop, but was called out by Nauert on a fairly close play that replays showed to be a blown call by the umpire. The Devil Rays won the game 9-7. You can access the box score at this link, while wraps from MLB.com are here and here. Additional coverage is available from The St. Petersburg Times; The Tampa Tribune; The Baltimore Sun; and The Associated Press. You can view a related photo at this link.

Credit umpire Paul Nauert with an ejection -- his third of the season -- and adjust your Umpire Fantasy League standings accordingly.
